This week on the show we celebrate the gift of life as we meet a young man who saved his mum’s life on a busy highway intersection. His lifesaving CPR skills are a stark reminder of the need for all of us to get motivated and skill up. It could save a life.

The devastating bushfires earlier this year are not forgotten as we prepare for the warmer months ahead. Fires ripped through almost half of Kangaroo Island, decimating wildlife and the terrain. The recovery is ongoing as the rehabilitation of flora and fauna continues. And for those who are part of that story, nothing is more uplifting that releasing some of the animals, like Lola, a brave little koala, back into the habitat.

Knowing how to respond to someone suffering mental health can be very difficult. The LivingWorks program is designed to debunk the stigma and shame around suicide plus help arm everyday people with vital tools to help open up the conversation. Taking part could alter the course of someone’s life.

Broccoli, brussels sprouts and cabbage are all top of the list of kids most disliked veggies. Fair enough, but according to a specialist in the benefits of these cruciferous vegetables, they should be on top of the list for older women. And we head to the kitchen with Luke Hines and Tegan Martin as they smash out a salmon and pea recipe that’ll get the taste buds going. Oh, and if you suffer hiccups, we’ve got the solution for that too!
