Pia Miller describes how she finds balance in a busy life

The model, actress and mum of two energetic boys admits it’s not always easy but says the secret is to love what you do – and accept help when you need it.

Best known for her role as Senior Constable Katarina Chapman in Home and Away, the Chilean-born beauty is just back from auditioning for parts during pilot season in Los Angeles, which she describes as ‘chaotic but fun’.

“Life is crazy and can feel like a bit of a juggling act at times but I have incredible help from my family and friends,” she says. “That old saying that it takes a village to raise a child is so true!”

The TV star says small steps like simplifying your beauty routine can also make life easier.

“Being a mum of two boys and working crazy hours means I’m constantly on the go, which means I need fuss free beauty staples,” she reveals.

“Efficient products are key – like the Venus ComfortGlide that moisturises while you shave, thanks to its clever body butter enriched moisture bars.”

As the first Australian ambassador for Venus, Pia says she is thrilled to represent a brand ‘that empowers women to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin’.

“Whether you’re on the beach, in the office or on the dance floor, anything that gets you out the door feeling good, confident and being able to do everything quickly, that’s the key for me.”

Quick and easy beauty

When it comes to her face, the one-time Dolly Cover girl competition winner reveals fresh skin is a must.

“I start off with a sun smart moisturiser, followed by a dusting of bronzer for a sun-kissed glow and a touch of luminiser,” she says.

“I always curl my eyelashes and apply mascara – that’s my thing! I keep my hair loose and natural, and then it’s a quick spritz of my favourite perfume before I leave the house.

“I think beauty really shines when you’re feeling happy and confident in your own skin. For me, when it comes to beauty, I like to keep things pretty simple – a positive attitude, a healthy all-over glow and smooth skin is a pretty good start.”

Health on the go

When it comes to health Pia, who is soon to appear in Channel Nine’s new crime thriller Bite Club, says it’s important to just keep moving.

“For me, exercise is about constantly being active rather than following a strict routine,” she says. “It doesn’t matter what you do, just as long as you’re moving around.

“I lead a really on-the-go lifestyle with my boys – we’re either at the beach playing in the water or running around kicking a footy together.”
