Many Australians don’t eat the recommended intake of fruits and vegetables. If you can’t absorb adequate amounts of zinc from zinc-containing foods, a supplement may be necessary.
There is also a ‘zinc test’ that can show your levels by the taste perception of liquid zinc.
- Zinc: egg yolks, liver, milk, oysters, capsicum, milk, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and seafood.
