Four must-try lip trends for the new season
Switch up your shade and give your pout a boost with these latest lip trends.
Liquid lipstick is the flavour of the month, with a variety of long-lasting and affordable formulations on the market.
Pencil it in
A quality lip liner is crucial for achieving everything from a crisp finish to added definition and dimension.
You can apply a lip liner over the entire lip for added longevity or just outline the lip perimeter to add shadow and/or over-line your lip.
Back to brown
Switch up your lip shade and sport something other than a basic pinky nude. If you thought tawny, brown lip shades were just a short-lived 1990s revival, think again. The trend is here to stay and is not nearly as intimidating as it looks.
If you’re pale and afraid of looking gothic, stick to warm nude tones with a hint of beige or peach.
Those with deeper skin tones should gravitate to warm browns, specifically chocolate and reddish colours.
Medium skin tones suit tawny, cooler toned browns.
This season sees the return of the glassy-finish gloss, sported either on top of a lipstick or alone to enhance your natural lip colour. If you prefer not to get you hair caught in gloss, matte lipstick remains a perennial favourite.
